sp69 0 Posted ... Windows 10 / QBittorent Private Torrent Tracker - cant use DHT / Peer Exchange / Local Peer Discovery Selected Port to forward in AirVPN and use this port in qBitTorrent Downloading works fine but uploading/seeding does not work canyouseeme.org fails (Reason: Connection refused) If I turn off Windows firewall uploading works and canyouseeme.org works ok I don't really want to turn windows firewall off - isn't this a security risk? What do I need to do to get this to work Thanks Quote Share this post Link to post

zhang888 1066 Posted ... you need to allow that incoming port in the Windows Firewall. Check one of the many available guides about how to do that. sp69 0 Posted ... OK i got it to work i think...... In windows firewall it was only setup to use Private Network (which is my LAN) The VPN is set to public network...... I changed the rule to use both private and public...... this now works in canyouseeme.org I have a feeling this is not the best setup? Should I put the Port that I'm using for VPN in the rules and also disable the Private network (LAN) Quote Share this post Link to post
~Daniel~ 11 Posted ... I use Comodo and have the Windows FireWall disabled, so I can't speak from experience as I don't use the same FireWall as you. But, I do suspect that what you have done may very well work for you considering that the interface is only ever allowed once Eddie created that TAP connection. If there is no VPN connection, nothing is going in/out of that firewall "zone".Now what I am not sure about of is whether this exposes (while on the connection) other things... like shared files/folders, printyers, etc... things discoverable/shareable across a network. In this case, I believe what zhang888 recommended to be what you need... set that zone back to private and...you need to allow that incoming port in the Windows Firewall. Check one of the many available guides about how to do that. Quote Share this post Link to post
