Checking Authorization Restart Loop - Tor

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've setup tor to allow use of a control port. Using the test button indicates AirVPN can connect through the tor port successfully.

I enter my login details into the client, which logs me in successfully.

Now when I click to connect to a server it states it is "Checking Authorization", fails, then restarts in 3 seconds trying to do the same thing. This continues until I click cancel.

When I change back to default setting it connects to servers without a problem.

any help is much appreciated as I would really like the extra layer of tor security.

Thanks!

Hi,

I know it's been a few days since this was posted, and I hope you were able to fix this error since then. I had the same issue, and was able to correct in by restarting my computer. As simple as that sounds, it was not the first thing I thought of because I just turned on my computer and every other program was running fine.

Best of luck.

Had the same problem. Added   SocksPort 127.0.0.1:9150 PreferSOCKSNoAuth   to the torrc file and now seems to be working fine.
