phatkev 0 Posted ... Hello, I am new to airvpn, and VPNs in general. I am not great at this stuff so any assistance is much appreciated. I am using both a tablet and phone (galaxy s7) via wifi at home. I have installed OpenVPN for Anndroid and have sucessfully set up a few configuration profiles which are working, and my VPN connecrion seems to be working. However, today it is extremely slow. I am getting around 2mbps through tye VPN and get about 55mbps without VPN. Have I missed a step? Do I need to do anything to my router? (Virgin super Hub 2) Thanks for your help. Here's some info from NIST: 2.Cryptographic Module Specification2.1.Description of ModuleThe Samsung Flash Memory Protector V1.1 is classified as a multi-chip standalone software-hybridmodule for FIPS 140-2 purposes. It is designed for the on-the-fly hardware encryption to flashmemory including Disk Encryption, File Encryption and Dual Encryption (i.e. both File and DiskEncryption.) The logical cryptographic boundary for the module includes the cryptographic modulesoftware backed by hardware cryptography to support hardware-based cryptographic algorithms. The module includes the following components: Flash Memory Protector Driver Flash Memory ProtectorThe Flash Memory Protector Driver (FMP Driver) is the software component of the cryptographicmodule running in the Linux Kernel which calls the cryptographic algorithms implemented in theFMP hardware module for power-up self-tests, and also holds the FIPS status of the entirecryptographic module once the power-up self-test is completed successfully. All actualcryptographic functions are implemented within the hardware. The Flash Memory Protector (FMP) is the hardware component of the cryptographic module whichsupports AES with CBC mode and XTS-AES encryption and decryption for confidentiality on storagedevices. It resides in the Samsung Exynos Processor 8890. It is located between the externalDRAM and Flash memory Device so that it can encrypt and decrypt the data quickly and reducepower consumption. While that particular module specifies disk encryption I have seen speeds multitudes in excess of those the OP is reporting, so hardware shouldn't be the issue in his case.
