Mac OS asks for admin login when starting Eddie

Recommended Posts

Every time I start Eddie, Mac OS prompts me to enter admin data for Eddie to "make changes". In the firewall settings of Mac OS, I have added Eddie and allowed incoming traffic there.

Will that always be this way, or can I change it?

This is an expected behavior, the sudo prompt is there for your security.

Otherwise any application that can overwrite the Eddie path can automatically gain admin privileges,

which is a big and unnecessary security risk.
