New Firefox cant connect to the net if I use VPN

I had to reinstall Firefox and everything works fine as long i don't start the VPN

 

 

I try different settings without any effect. If the VPN is running (with and without network look) I can't load any side  Any idea how I can fix this mess?

other browsers etc are working fine = it must bee a Firefox problem

Try Safe Mode. If it's firefox, see if it's your current configuration.

God idea but without prugins I have the same problem - I got enough and I will restore next morning a image from 05-11

Hehe, more or less fits your signature.

You could create a new vanilla profile to see if firefox would work in a "factory reset" state.

I was playing around some more hours without a positive result. I have also tried a clean Firefox (another new installation after cleaning) without any plugins etc. with the same result In the end I restored the image and also restored all missing documents etc. (daily backup) and now the system is running like a charm   

 

The only point that makes me mad is if there is a problem and I don't understand what is the reason

Then it was not a Firefox problem, after all. Maybe you changed critical system settings or you installed something, or you changed something in an application changing how network (resources) are managed. Maybe a Windows Update went backwards - after using Windows for many years I experienced this many times.

Glad that it's working again. Come back when it reappears. Best to log everything you change or do.
