Extremely low speed

Hi there,

 

I am using Kubuntu 16.04 and as of today my connection is horrible. Yesterday I reached D/L speeds of 2 mb/s and today it is 100 kb/s if I am lucky. How big is the chance that my provider throttled me? I have used all available ports and protocolls through my network manager and OpenVPN and through terminal additionally, yet speed-wise nothing changed. I haven't changed the Firewall settings. Any ideas?

Have you tried using the Eddie client? Eddie offers support for changing buffering sizes to 256kb in its advanced section. Also if you believe you are being throttled i would suggest using a SSH/SSL tunnel
