Checking route endlessly

Hi, El Capitan User, trying to connect to a Swedish server from Switzerland, and its been saying "Checking route..." for some time now. How long does one have to wait?

Sometimes under rare conditions the route check may fail, but you have the options to skip this check in the client settings.

Under Advanced > Check if the tunnel effectively works
