Zerpyn 0 Posted ... When I start AirVPN and connect to a server, it starts to download something and my download speed reaches max, making internet slow and videos/streams buffer alot. I quit all programs using bandwidth but AirVPN is still downloading at max speed (tested by watching resource monitor and taskbar manager background programs bandwidth usage). If i quit AirVPN the bandwidth usage is normal, but as soon as I start and connect to a server, it jumps up to max download speed. This happened just now suddenly, without me doing anything other than watching a twitch stream. It was working fine for hours beforehand. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling AirVPN (No change)I tried connecting to a different server (No change) Quote Share this post Link to post

You should test again on a clean, rebooted system with no processes running. Also, make sure your system is not downloading updates or anything that can cause this. I did a reboot and shut down all processes that would cause use of bandwidth, no change. System is not downloading anything, it's specifically AirVPN downloading something (update maybe stuck in a loop?) as it is the only process using bandwidth looking at the network resource monitor. But no update should be that big. Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't know how it got fixed, but it fixed itself during the night. Summary of what happened:*Turn on AirVPN*Watch twitch stream*Stream starts buffering suddenly after like an hour of it being fine.*Check what is causing it with Task Manager and Resource Managment*Internet usage points to AirVPN*Shut down AirVPN*Internet back to normal*Reboot*Internet still normal*Start up AirVPN*AirVPN uses max bandwidth and cause internet to be slow*Shut down AirVPN*Internet back to normal*Continue watching twitch streams*Go to bed after around 2 hours*Get on the computer 12+ hours later*Start AirVPN*Works fine Anyways thanks for the help, and I will post again if it happens again.
