oxonsi 0 Posted ... When attempting to connect to a server, the DNS checking frequently fails. I have a dual boot Windows and Linux system. Under Windows, the DNS checking passes at least 90% of the time. Under Linux, the DNS checking fails frequently. I have changed the DNS Switch mode in Linux to "Renaming" [under Preferences -> DNS]. That improved the situation a bit. But I still get frequent failures. I then disabled Check AirVPN DNS by unchecking the box in the same Preference panel. Then I am always able to connect, and I also have no problem resolving domain names. I also performed a DNS leak test through the VPN, and there was apparently no leak. So it appears there is no problem with the DNS server. So why does the DNS checking fail so much in the Linux client? And is it OK to simply leave the Checking of AirVPN DNS off, or is there a better way improve the connection success? Thanks for any help. Quote Share this post Link to post
