Connection to all west coast Canadian servers goes into loop disconnect

On my old Intel MacPro everything works and connects fine. On my new MacBook running OSX10.11.6 I cannot connect to Eddie chosen servers (usually Vancouver BC, Canada.) I have to go to Servers tab and choose a server farther away from my NW USA city with a much higher latency, and then most of the time it connects ok. Prior to connection it always goes through a series of downloads and when it flushes DNS, after manually choosing another server, it often connects.

 

I have been following and making all the suggestions in the Advanced Tabs re DNS, tunnels, etc. I do use Port 443 because I'm with comcast.

This is for OS X.

Try going to /Users/'your username'/.airvpn and delete the .airvpn folder and everything in it, make sure airVPN is closed first. The folder is hidden so you'll have to enable 'show hidden folders'

​Open terminal and paste this command

 

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

 

And then press the return key.

After that Restart finder by holding down "control" and "options" and clicking on the finder button in the dock and click relaunch.

After you delete the folder reopen the airVPN client and re-sign into your account, this will reset all your settings but it should fix the issue. Also try updating to the latest beta of airvpn, 2.11.3 is the latest at the time of this post. Download link https://airvpn.org/repository/experimental/airvpn_osx_x64_portable.tar.gz

Installing the Beta seems to work for me, at least for the past couple of days.

 

Update a few hours later: I guess I spoke too soon. Same loop disconnect with Canadian and US servers. Just now, I could only connect through a Swedish server.

If I let it disconnect and restart for 10 minutes or so it eventually connects to a Canadian server.

I'm glad to see that other people are having the same problem as me. I'm glad to learn AirVPN is a small company and though I have to wait for an answer, when it comes it will be helpful.

However I know/understand nothing about the fixes you describe or how to delete the folder etc. Are you talking Mac or WIndows here? I have a Macbook Air 2013. All these instructions go way beyond my capacities. I guess I'm just too "plug 'n play" for Air VPN.

Users are reporting that the bug is fixed, try to restart eddie to see if that fixes the issue.
