VPN > Proxy - - DNS leak

Hello all,
Ive noticed that when I connect to a VPN Server and a Socks Proxy at the same time I get DNS leaking the IP address of the VPN Server that I am connected to ? Is there anyway to stop this from happening ?
(Just using VPN server I have no DNS leaks its only when I get the Proxy in the mix that I seem to leak)

You should then make DNS resolution go via the Socks server. Firefox and other apps support this.

Sorry dont understand I connect to air then open my browser and connect to socks proxy ? How can a make a dns resoulution via the socks server? Please explain to me as if i were a child

A good example is the Tor Browser which is pre-configured in this mode.

This is called Remote DNS, and it means that it will send DNS requests (in TCP) to your Socks host.
