Raspberry Pi 3 Torrent Server

Recommended Posts

I currently run a windows desktop computer 24/7 for seeding torrents on private trackers, the problem is that it uses a lot of electricity and  it's fairly noisy. I'm planning on building a new torrent server using a raspberry pi 3. My question is - is it possible to configure AirVPN on a raspberry pi 3 using the eddie client or openvpn with network lock enabled? the network lock feature is essential to me.

Cheers

I've had this setup on a RPI2 for a few years now, works really well. There are plenty of guides on how to set this up if you search for it.

As for windows machine have a look at HP Micro server, they are low power / noise and are great for running 24/7 and cheap too.

Cheers,

I would suggest running on a low powered Ubuntu server if using low resources is your target goal.

Currently Eddie is runs on x86 platforms only, however you can easily make an own Network Lock feature

using iptables.

Do you have any tutorials on this?  I'm trying to do this myself too.  Thank you.
