amazeballs 2 Posted ... Hi all,I saw this slightly old TF article and I was wondering if any of the AirVPN had any comments on it? Canadian ISPs and VPNs Now Have to Alert Pirating Customers Not being Canadian, I am not aware of the background, but as a lot of AirVPNs servers are based in Canada is anyone worried about this?I could select other countries I guess, but Eddie seems to love connecting to Canada for latency reasons. Many thanks, Quote Share this post Link to post
mehāniskākaravīrs935 24 Posted ... I have asked the same question before. The best answer I was given from staff was that Canada's laws do not apply to VPN provider since they do not qualify as a ISP. However that being said I would not trust any North American servers with torrents unless they add some in South America just out of paranoia. In all reality you will probably be fine, but i personally take as most precaution as possible without it being a complete pain in the ass. Quote Share this post Link to post
foxmulder 43 Posted ... These are interesting thoughts and perhaps noone will ever know how these things are handled. But in reality it should not matter. If AIR relies on its strict non - logging and privacy policy, every server should be equally safe, regardless in which country it is located.
