DNS leak

Hello,

I'm usually always checking on ipleak.net if something is leaking just in case and I saw that my DNS is leaking.

There is a normal DNS from AirVPN but 3 other DNS addresses too and those addresses are also there when I am not using AirVPN so it must be a DNS leak.

I tried to use Googles DNS server (4.4.4.4 and 8.8.8.8) but it changed nothing.

And I am using IPv6 and it is leaking too because I see my IP here while I am actually connected to AirVPN

First Google's DNS's are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Secondly are you using AirVPN client or just openvpn?

If you use AirVPN it should be fine however if you use openvpn and your desktop has been configured to use another DNS server it might even use multiple/wrong servers.

 

Easy fix for windows is to use dnsjumper

However I don't know which system you're running

 

 

And choose the right DNS from this page for

UDP on 443 it is 10.4.0.1

TCP on 443 it is 10.5.0.1

Etc. ...
