Windows 10 start button not working

Hiya,

 

This is a recent problem. When I boot my computer and I enter Windows, everything seems normal. My mouse works and my keyboard works. My mouse and click desktop icons and interact with programs I launch from the desktop. My keyboard also works and can write in programs I launch from the desktop.

 

However, the mouse can not click on the windows start bar or task manager or work in any windows-interface program (such as Settings).

 

When I start up AirVPN client everything starts working normal with the mouse.

 

Anyone know how to address this issue? As I only use AirVPN when using a torrent client (it's too slow for playing games and regular internet usage) so it would be nice to have a fix, so I don't have to be connected to the VPN for my computer to function.
