AirVPN on iOS fails to connect after unlocking the device from lock mode.

Recommended Posts

Hello, i am not aware if anyone else experiences this issue, but when i lock my phone when i am not using it, and wake it up again some minutes later, even with full network access my client fails to re connect to the tunnel. Below i have attached my log file and the view i get from the app after unlocking my device. Any help the user base could provide would be much appreciated. I also have a support ticket regarding the matter but they seem to be clueless as to the cause.

Try to change your settings for the Vpn client under the settings app, the settings you need to change are shown in this photo.

And see if that fixes the issue.

Step 1. Go to the home screen

Step 2. Tap on the settings app

Step 3. On the far left swip down or search until you find 0penvpn c0nnect

Step 4. Change the settings to what they are in the photo above.

Also disable "force AES-CBC ciphersuites", disabling this option will enable AES-256-GCM with HMAC-SHA384. When the option is enabled the Vpn client will use AES-256-CBC with HMAC-SHA1.
