Can you explain what do you mean by that?

The only encryption you have to use is AES-256-CBC for Data Channel, SHA1 for Control Channel.

Other (weaker) ciphers are not supported.

 

I just know that on many other VPN's, I had the choice to choose between different encryption levels and types. Are you saying AirVPN chooses encryption type for me, or is already set to a specific encryption? If that's so, it would be nice if there was somewhere on Eddie that told me what it's at.

In security, there is a term called Trust On First Use.

This means that key points that can be potentially misconfigured by the user and

lower the overall security, are either

1) Not default

2) Not user configurable

3) Not supported   <-- Best way to ensure you can't misconfigure anything or use weak ciphers.
