SIGABRT Error for Eddie 2.10 on RaspberryPi 3

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys!

I've been using AirVPN for almost a year now and today I tried installing the 32 Bit .deb Package of Eddie 2.10 on my new RaspberryPi 3.

After installing Mono, Openvpn and whatnot through apt-get -f install and then installing Eddie again I try starting Eddie with sudo airvpn

The GUI starts to appear, while flickering, but then closes down again relatively quickly.

I then get the Error

"Got a SIGABRT while executing native code. This usually indicates
a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
used by your application."

Here's the full Terminal:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo airvpn

Got a SIGABRT while executing native code. This usually indicates

/usr/bin/airvpn: Zeile 2: 5087 Abgebrochen mono /usr/lib/AirVPN/AirVPN.exe --path=$HOME/.airvpn "$@"

I also tried installing mono-complete beforehand, but I got the same Error.

I'm sorry, but I really have no Idea on how to proceed from here.

That's weird, because some people here on the forum seem to have no Problem with running the Client on the RaspberryPi 2.

Not necessarily a solution, but I would recommend using the client - I just recently got Airvpn running on my own Pi 2 under Jessie and have found that it's actually much easier to use the client than going through the effort of using the network manager to force things. That being said, I did find that the client didn't work "out of the box" and updating mono was necessary, although that could simply be due to the distro I was using.

https://airvpn.org/topic/16528-raspberry-pi-2-raspbian-jessie/

or as an other example where just the Network Lock didn't work

https://airvpn.org/topic/16786-raspbian-client-2103-network-lock-prevents-upnp-media-server-discovery

Also, the ARMv8 Documentation says, that they're "maintaining compatibility with existing 32-bit software" (http://www.arm.com/products/processors/armv8-architecture.php) or am I misreading something here?
