I bought an Ubuntu phone mainly because of privacy concerns I have with IOS & Android. I was disappointed to see that they don't have the built in support for Network Manager like the Ubuntu desktop does, is it possible to run Airvpn on the Ubuntu EQ5 phone?

Is OpenVPN available on the Ubuntu Phone? If it is, install it and then go into AirVPN web site > Client Area > Config Generator and generate the OPVPN files to use with OpenVPN
Then navigate to OpenVPN install directory and there should be a folder to put those OPVPN files in

A paranoid guy heard once that most accidents happen at home, so he moved to a new apartment

See this article from Jan 6, 2016:

So probably it is a good news for you, but you will have to find your own way around configuring it, and there isn't

any UI for it right now as it seems.

And I'll just quote another smart person that knows alot about intelligence:

"If your adversary is not FVEY, your best bet is probably to rely on the Apple/Google security teams to protect you."

So by moving to something less peer-reviewed like a niche OS with lack of security audit, you actually expose yourself

to a bigger attack surface using the bad "security by obscurity", or in your case "security by low popularity" concept.

Try to avoid it and do a proper due-dilligence on your next decisions, but I am not going to tell you what to use.

well, I wish to quit android for its lack of "user-control"

the best of the worst solutions would be papple device and IOS

but before I had to check the now-old ubuntu solution

I just got myself a cheap nexus 4 (40e on ebay or 80 renewed in aliexpress)

this device because its a preffered one for Ubuntu Touch.

so simple to wipe google code away. it does work.

then it start right away, the interface is not clinky like microsoft can do

i dont want or care of the millions app like just like the free satelite tvs

just tel, messengers, surf a bit, access my mail... ssh or read a cam at the most

a tel (any tel) is not ready yet to replace my laptop (where i do my banking and stuff like this)

I can see in 2019 (what!... 4 years after its so-called "death")

it runs nice, fast and looks it can complete my needs

telegram is even integrated in tha system now

their comunity is alive and keep up.

it is open source.

please, guys, let me give a try to push further

the vpn settings are implemented in the system

it leads to a full page of settings... where i could not get through

could we work this out to have my favorite VPN on this ubuntu touch ?

thank you for your consideration.
