I've downgraded my TAP, but unfortuntely this had no effect. (Not sure what happened with the spoiler tags, I'm on the latest firefox release.)

I tried activating the network lock function, but I still get the same response from ipleaks.net.

Don't have time now, but tomorrow I'll try setting up the vpn through my DD-WRT router and see if that has any effect.

Applied all those settings, no change unfortunately.

So, my ISP force me to use their own router. Because of this I daisychain to my own router to provide wifi etc, and I thought that this might be causing the issue. But, tried connecting directly through the ISP router and the IP still leaks.

Also tried connecting through my old VPN provider (which has a few days left), but get the same response from ipleaks.net.

Anyway you should open a ticket and try installing OpenVPN and use it to see if the problem come from Eddie.

The problem is from here, notmally you should have defined IP adresses with local IPs. However I don't have ideas to solve this problem.

If you're running a 3rd party firewall it can cause issues with the lock.

Seems like there is still a route pushed as 192.168.2.1 with high metric.

Disable any 3d party "firewalls" or other junk and try again. And print the routing table as well.

Ok, so I didn't have any software firewalls installed. BUT for some reason my ISP's router had an IPv6 firewall which was enabled. Turned that off and, SUCCESS:

The isp's router IPv6 firewall was probably allowing some/all ipv6, so the leak was most likely related to that.

Running the Network lock should have stopped that tbh, odd.

Is the windows firewall active? That's what the network lock uses 'on window' to block all traffic other than vpn traffic.

Hello, everyone.

I've only bought my first subscription a few hours ago.

I don't know if this is where I should post since I still have a restriction on it.

I didn't want to create a new thread because I think I have a similar problem with the OP.

I'm less tech-literate than most of you are, and reading more the VPN here makes me feel like a little kid.

Anyway, I thought I'd list what I did, so here they are:

- Downloaded and installed the Windows 8/10 Client.

- Ran AirVPN.exe in admin mode.

- Chose a server + enabled the Network Lock.

I checked for DNS leaks, and I had multiple of them.

I ended up with this:

I've also checked using dnsleaks.com and ipleak.net.

They all have multiple DNS results that says it's leaking apart from that one ISP from the server I chose.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm sorry I can't keep up with your discussions/terminologies right away.

I had hoped there was a beginner's guide or something, but I just couldn't get half of the stuff I've read.

I'm mostly concerned not getting copyright notices from torrent downloads.

The last VPN I used was PIA, and that was about a year ago.

I vaguely remember configuring the port forwarding over uTorrent as well. I don't know if it's necessary with Air VPN.

I hope you could help me.

Wrong thinking here. You should always open new threads because all issues are considered separate until proven otherwise, no matter how similar they sound.

Also, it's not nice to come here with a problem hijacking the thread of another. No offense, of course, but please keep this in mind in the future.

And reading your description reveals it's not the same issue because your issue is DNS-related. Please don't reply to this post and open a separate thread right away, also in the Troubleshooting subforum.
