billf1 1 Posted ... I am having major speed issues when downloading torrents. It seems kind of hit or miss, sometimes they run fun, and I am getting acceptable speeds (1.5 Mbps +) and all of my other browsing is normal. But lately, the last few days, when I have torrents trying to download, I will get speeds only ~ 10kbps, when this happens, I also cannot access anything on the internet - pages just say they failed to load (so I cannot run a speed test wile this is going on. If I pause ALL torrents, the internet seems to be able to load some simple pages but very slowly, if I STOP the torrents, my internet speeds jump right back up to normal (~13.25 Mbps down 4 Mbps up). When I first start a torrent after having been stopped, I will normally get about 30 seconds of decent download speeds, and this issues re-arises. I have my uTorrent port static and specified as a forwarded port per the other conversations I have seen. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I have downloaded other torrents when not connected to AirVPN and I do not see this issue, only when connected to the VPN. Quote Share this post Link to post

billf1 1 Posted ... It is early yet, but the TAP downgrade seems to have worked. I tried the UDP 443 switch first, that did not do the trick (it did seem to take a little bit longer for my connection speed to crash, but it did still crash eventually). This seems to be doing the trick. I am now limited by the peers. Thank you for the help. I had not seen TAP mentioned on the other threads, and I would have not figured that out on my own for sure. 1 OpenSourcerer reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
