Question re VPN access on router

Recommended Posts

I have set up my pfSense router to connect to "us.vpn.airdns.org", in order to access US Netflix.  I would prefer to connect to "ca.vpn.airdns.org" (which is closer to me), but I want to exclude the servers that provide a connection to Canadian Netflix and only connect to the Canadian servers that allow a connection to US Netflix.  Is there currently a way to do this?  Or do I have to pick a single Canadian server and set up my connection specifically to that server?

Write all the servers you want to connect to into the .ovpn file, one per line (remote name.airvpn.org). Then write a remote-random as an additional line. This will cause OpenVPN to connect to one of the servers specified in remote directives randomly.

How would I do this on pfSense? I don't think it uses OpenVPN configuration files (.ovpn).  Maybe in the advanced settings field for the client?

While on the topic, how does AirVPN assign me to a specific VPN server when I use us.vpn.airdns.org as the address?

Oh, I thought pfSense uses the .ovpn files... okay, sorry. I can't help you.
