vavavoom49 0 Posted ... Hi, I have been using Airvpn for a few months now and have had good download speed. I changed my isp last week and have noticed that the latency for the servers in Netherlands have changed to around double and I am getting lower download speed. My previous internet connection was 40mb and I got downloads speeds of 4mb/s per second. My new internet connection is 200mb and I am getting download speeds ranging from 1.8mb/s to max of 4mb/s. The download speed seems to keep changing. The Latency for the Netherlands servers was 16ms with the old connection and now range from 32ms to 36ms. With the new internet connection i should be getting higher speed than before but I am not. What can I do to increase speed and is there something i could do to decrease latency? zhang888 1066 Posted ... You pretty much answered yourself. Not all ISPs are the same.Their peering and routing to various servers is not the same either. Some might have better peering to one location, some to another, andsome might have a very bad peering to anywhere in the world in general. Try another server with a nearby proximity. If you had a 16ms ping to NLI assume you are from a nearby country, there are many EU servers available.Check a few others and try to see where you get better results. vavavoom49 0 Posted ... Thanks for the replies. I am using Virgin media broadband. Download speed averages at 2.2mb/s with airvpn and 24mb/s without. I have set buffer size to 512kb and have tried 256kb buffer size. I have tried all the different ports in the protocols section of eddy and it only makes a minor difference. I have tried servers from all the countries, the fastest servers are the netherlands and uk. I have rolled back the tap driver to an earlier version and that hasn't improved the speed. Is there anything else i can try to improve speed? Quote Share this post Link to post

vavavoom49 0 Posted ... Giganerd, I have been through the thread you suggested and nothing has helped. My speed had deceased further. I am now getting on average 1.5mb/s. Also I have noticed if I am downloading something and I load a new web page the download speed decreases to around 800kb/s and remains at that speed until the download is restarted. I have been through the thread about changing TAP. I have tried 9.9.1 and 9.9.2 3. I have uninstalled the eddy client and reinstalled it. I have attached logs. Help would be appreciated.airvpn log.txt Quote Share this post Link to post
