Torrents max out at 25-35KBps (800KBps without VPN)

I seem to be topping out at 25-35KBps for some reason.I am using a split tunnel setup with my VPN interface IP set at as the forced Interface for Deluge.

 

I have the following in my advanced config box on the config generator page:

 

 

route 0.0.0.0 192.0.0.0 net_gateway
route 64.0.0.0 192.0.0.0 net_gateway
route 128.0.0.0 192.0.0.0 net_gateway
route 192.0.0.0 192.0.0.0 net_gateway
 

 

 

When I turn the VPN off and send all torrent traffic via my normal connection, my connection maxes out (approx. 800KBps) and runs as it should. Disabling my firewall does nothing. Trying different connection profiles (UDP/TCP/SSH/SSL) does nothing. Trying different servers/countries doesn't seem to do anything either.

 

Sometimes (rarely) it will "burst" up to maybe 150KBps and then drop back down to 30KBps within 10 seconds or so.

 

Does anyone know what it could be?

Are you measuring the speed difference on the exact same peers with VPN on/off? If not, then try setting up port forwarding.

Yes, I am testing using a very well seeded Ubuntu torrent. Speed never goes over 35KBps, and usually hovers between 20KBps and 30KBps.

 

Port forwarding is set up on AirVPN and it tested to be working correctly (green light shown at https://airvpn.org/ports/).
