BBC audio Streams

BBC geoblocking is preventing streaming of the BBC high quality audio streams.

 

All the BBC stations stream from this url

Please could the URL be unblocked.

The BBC streams are using AAC HLS - HTTP Live Streaming, a lot of players don't support this.  Media player classic and VLC support the streams on Windows and so does Xiia on android.  Not sure if AIMP supports this, Foobar doesn't.

 

I know that its geo blocked because the steams work when Im not connected to AIR or on one of the AIR UK servers but not with any of AIR's other servers.

Yes, I can confirm the BBC streams are not working with the non-UK servers. I suggest you put in a support ticket, as the staff don't always read these posts.

Why are you asking Air to unblock?

It's the BBC that are blocking. That's part of the reason I use the service. So I've got a break out point in the UK.

Sorry. Unblocked was probably the wrong word to use. The url needs to be added to Air's double hop list so that the streams can be listened to from any Air server. For instance I'm currently using a NL server but can visit BBC.co.uk instead of the international com version.
