psychlops 28 Posted ... Well, I'm having the same problem, and that SBYP comment is meaningless in this case. None of those links you gave have any solutions.... people post their logs and nobody answers, and I don't have time to check the other 140 results, so apparently searching won't help. Since Eddie keeps disconnecting after "checking route" (this happens with or without network lock), I'm using Viscosity now and it's working fine. I've been using Viscosity with AirVPN for years... I just started using Eddie a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it, but this is the second time in two weeks I've had to go back to Viscosity because Eddie won't connect. OpenSourcerer 1442 Posted ... SBYP on its own is of course a meaningless comment, but that's not the only thing I wrote, right? Let me ask you something - why touch a running system? Why using Eddie if Viscosity never gave you a reason to change your client? Just curious. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. psychlops 28 Posted ... (edited) Because S.O.A. and I had a short discussion about this, and he said Eddie is more secure with Network Lock than Viscosity is with his disconnect script. And with Eddie the server list is updated live so I don't have to generate a new config file every time Air adds or drops a server, and if my connection slows down I can check the stats. Good points, so I finally decided to try it. I like it when it works, but there seems to be an intermittent problem. I went out for a few hours, and when I got back I disconnected Viscosity, tried Eddie again, and now it's working. Edit... I'm on Mac OSX 10.10.5 if that makes any difference. homeuser3 0 Posted ... My apologies, I had a very long log posted along with my issue but made an edit to the post and deleted all the log info, after I solved my problem. I had made some permission changes with some of my user accounts after being unable to edit/delete some files and i assume that is what caused my connection issues. I ended up doing a clean install of my os and now everything is running smooth. Most of the times, I do try and sbyp, but in my case, it was an issue beyond the forums. Thanks for reading. psychlops 28 Posted ... You might try using Viscosity (costs US$9) or Tunnelblick (free) and see if they work when Eddie won't. There's no guarantee you have ther same issue I have, but it's worth a try. Yesterday I updated to 10.11.3 and Eddie seems to be working fine so far. I've only been using Eddie for a couple of weeks now, and this disconnect problem has happened twice, both times for a couple of hours, then it worked again. In the meantime, I was able to use Viscosity. Still, I like Eddie better so I'm going to keep using it and hope it doesn't happen again. Quote Share this post Link to post
