Hundekuchen123 0 Posted ... Hey, Ok so here is my problem:I have port 443/80 forwarded on my home router to a little server at home, after connecting to the VPN, I'm unable to reach it from outside. now here is my question:Is it possible to be connected to VPN and still be reachable from my private IP, and if so how? Thx <3 Quote Share this post Link to post
SirJohnEh 6 Posted ... Yes, read here: https://airvpn.org/ports/ Be aware, however, that you can't reserve ports like 443, 80, etc. You'll have to forward a high port instead. Quote Share this post Link to post
Hundekuchen123 0 Posted ... But that is Remote port forwarding, i want to access my home server over my private IP, but it stops working as soon as i connect to VPN. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... (edited) Where does the server run and which device connects to the VPN? Not entirely clear. If the server is some device behind your router, and you connect with your PC to the VPN, nothing should break. If you connect with your router, things get far more complicated. Local Portforwarding stops working after connecting to VPNBy the way, I hope you have a good explanation for starting two threads with almost the same text. Hundekuchen123 0 Posted ... My server runs at home, behind and ordinary firewall/router On this Firewall/Router i have forwarded port 443/80 to my Server behind the Firewall so that i can access it like this (https://My.Private.ISP.IP:443), which works great Now here is the problem, when i start an OpenVPN session on that Server (Not the router) i'm unable to reach my Server from outside with (https://My.Private.ISP.IP:443), but it still works on LAN (https://My.Server.LAN.IP:443) Now i don't understand why my ports that i have forwarded on my home router stop working. I hope that explains the problem. And for that second post, i thought it didn't work since it took quite a while to show up, then i noticed that it first has to be approved by a mod.sry Quote Share this post Link to post
Hundekuchen123 0 Posted ... FOUND IT! The solution is to use "Full-NAT" on my home router instead of DNAT, now i'm able to reach my server from outside with my private IP, while the server is still connect to VPN. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Glad you found a solution. Mark your post as solved. You can of course do it with DNAT, too, in this case you might also need a SNAT rule. But Full-NAT of course makes this superfluous. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT.
