Ubuntu: How to use AirVPN in "daemon" mode

​I am trying to configure AirVPN as Daemon on ubuntu 14. I googled all the possibilities but none work. I followed

it is very old andnot working can anyone help me to run service as daemon.

Are you using X and Gnome's NetworkManager applet? It can handle this for you.

Thanks for replying...Yes I am using Gnome's Network Manager applet. Will you please point me to the guide (or explain) how can i do that?
