ANSWERED Upgraded to Fedora 23, cannot start client.

The client worked correctly in Fedora 22 (with Beesu). Today I upgraded to Fedora 23 and now it will not start, nothing happens.

This is the AirVPN client 2.10-0.

Where is the client saved so I can try launching it directly from a terminal window? BTW, I am not a Linux guru at all.

Suggestions?

I'm having exactly the same issue. The client downloads and appears to install but simply will not run on Fedora 23. Manually enetering values into the Network Manager works OK as does starting from the command line.

I ran into the same thing. When I ran it from the terminal (the command is simply "airvpn" it threw up an error about libgdiplus.so. I checked and libgdiplus was installed, so I installed another package called libgdiplus-devel and it started the client. Hope that helps.

I am having the same issue, Airvpn app installed successfully using the gnome package installer , but it never launches when I click on the icon, also it threw this error when I [sudo airvpn]

I've received the same error as @alimary15, and am unable to locate the problem.

When I installed the software, it went through the "Software" GUI, and it seems like there's a problem with mono(?) not being a usable version.

Also, attempting to launch it from the icon results in an error requesting that I use `gksudo` or `beesu`, when `pkexec` is available.

Fedora23 here.

When I launch airvpn client I get prompted that this application cannot run because lacking of admin privileges (wording is different actually, but that is the message). Then I must run sudo airvpn from terminal.

In my opinion the RPM package is far worse than DEB. DEB was working great, very quick to log in and latency test. RPM takes ages to login (and sometimes returns a timeout error) and to check the best server.

This happened on either Fedora and openSUSE.

I am having issues with airVPN client 2.10.3 not logging in on Fedora 23.

running from the icon with beesu results in connection timeout after attempting to log in.

My login details used are correct but the system will not log in. This was installed using the .rpm x64 available on the site.

im also having problems geting airvpn to run over fedora. installs fine, besso is asking for superuser password on launching of airvpn and then nothing.
