TheAltLook 0 Posted ... Been using AirVPN for a while now and it's been working well, however, something that has always confused me is the additional "TAP-Windows Adapter V9" that is used whenever AirVPN is active. Using Wireshark, it seems that it is sending and receiving unencrypted packets to and from a number of different servers.Even though my regular WIFI adapter is sending encrypted packets, the unencrypted virtual adapter is still worrying me. What is it for and does it pose a risk to anonymity? Quote Share this post Link to post
foxmulder 43 Posted ... No need to worry. It's being used by OpenVPN when you're connected to AIR. Regards, Fox & Dana Quote Share this post Link to post
