AirVPN, IPLeak and DNS Address detection

I've just been trying ipleak.net - when connected to a server via AirVPN for some reason ipleak.net ALWAYS shows my usual ISP's DNS address under the "DNS Address Detection" section.

 

I'm using the UDP protocol.

 

Windows 7, 64-bit.

 

Firefox browser.

 

Any ideas please how I can easily prevent this DNS leak?

Change you DNS to the google dns in windows network settings. Furthermore disable ipv6!

Have you enabled the network lock? what it does is use your windows firefall to block any connections that is not to and through the airvpn servers.

I've tried enabling the network lock but on going to ipleak.net it still shows mu actual ISP's DNS addresses in the DNS Address Detection section of the page.

 

Presumably I can prevent this. Not sure how though!

Try using the add on 'uBlock Origin' and check the "Prevent WebRTC from leaking local IP addresses" option in the dashboard-settings.

The script doesn't require anything except for you to generate your .ovpn files a specific way (the steps are in the thread and basically it is just ticking two extra boxes in the Config Generator in the Client Area of AirVPN)

What vpn client are you using AirVPN client EDDY or.......?

Have you already done this:

Mozilla Firefox users can actually turn off the default WebRTC functionality directly in Firefox settings by typing ‘about:config’ into the search bar and browsing to the ‘media.peerconnection.enabled’ option and setting it to FALSE.
