Hello guys,

Just installed airvpn-bin-2.10.3-1 from yaourt and am trying to conect to a Swedish server but it keeps disconnecting and

restarts itself endlessly.  Locking the network does not help.

I have tried changing DNS switchmode to 'Renaming' to no success.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Freindly greetings from Finland

Here is the message from terminal

Hi there,

I had the same issue develop on a prior Arch install, I disabled all DNS settings on the client and added my required DNS nameserver to etc/resolv.conf.

I reinstalled Arch and installed Eddie beta from the AUR and everything works as advertised.

This ^

Or try disabling the Route Checking feature.

Hei,

Thänks for your responses.

@Snaggle may I ask what you mean by "....added my required DNS nameserver to etc/resolv.conf." ?  I checked it and I have two already.  Perhaps you meant you added AirVPN's nameserver as well? Hmm

@RickJames, I have tried disabling RC feature without success.

If possible, I would like a solution that does not require re-installing Arch all togethor since I need my laptop for University's Mathematics.

I have christmas holiday in December when I can re-install.

I have read that this is pretty common problem recently and attempted all the suggestions not involving complete re-install to no success.

 Thänks.

Hi there,

Yes your correct I added Air's nameservers to my etc/resolv.conf.

Hope that helps.

EDIT- Check

https://airvpn.org/topic/15863-firejail-sandbox-your-linux-apps/

this could maybe help also.

Hello all!

UPDATE: fixed the issue.

For future readers of this post with similar problem:

What I did was,

1. Added 10.4.0.1 to etc/resolv.conf.

2. Changed the DNS settings to Resolvconf (Linux only). To do so, go to Preferences, then to Advanced tab, click DNS then change DNS Switch mode: Resolvconf (Linux only).

As a side note.

I do have the box "Check if the tunnel uses AirVPN DNS" ticked.

This thread may be marked as *Solved*

Cheers all!
