Kitalpha is in Austria according to Google and YouTube?

Kitalpha, one of the Swiss servers, is apparently Austrian according to Google and YouTube as when connected to it I am shown their Austrian sites.

 

This does not seem to happen on Virginis, the other Swiss server. On that seever I am shown these sites as the "CH" version which is the Swiss domain.

 

Is there any reason Kitalpha shows as Austrian to Google services?

Google maintains it's own GeoIP database, where accuracy is probably not a priority at all.

There is no even an official channel to report such things (In case you are an ISP that wants his IPs geolocated correctly)

 

Sometimes the gl parameter can be helpful. For example, try:

https://www.youtube.com/?gl=CH

That's what I was thinking since all the other IP checking sites including IPLeak all say Switzerland. Thanks man.
