Fatal Error on connection attempt; restart in 3-2-1 etc etc

Hello I am running AirVPN 2.10.3 on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and cannot connect. This has been going on for several months, and existed on 2.9.x. I would appreciate any and all help. The problem exists whether or not I check "Check if the tunnel effectively works" and/or "Check if the tunnel uses AirVPN DNS". Thanks very much in advance. Here is the log:

Anyone have any good ideas? My OS X firewall is off. My hosts file has the following:

127.0.0.1 localhost

255.255.255.255 broadcasthost

::1 localhost 

fe80::1%lo0 localhost

 

Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Never mind. I just upgraded to OS X 10.11 and the problem seems to be gone, and I can connect now. I'd have preferred to wait a few months before an upgrade, but I wanted this problem solved.
