Popcorn Time plugin for Kodi on Ubuntu taking a very long time to show available movies

Recommended Posts

I'm using Ubuntu and Kodi on a Celeron Chromebox. Everything was working prior to using the AIrvpn client but now when I connect to Airvpn and try to pull up a list of movies it takes a while (a minute or more) and then suddenly they show up. Picking a movie works as expected there is just a huge pause when it sits loading movie files.

Should I just use the built in VPN client? The only reason I'm using the Airvpn client is so it totally blocks internet access until the tunnel is connected. If I were to use the built in VPN would I be able to disallow internet access until the VPN comes up? Mostly I want to make sure nobody is able to certain protocols until the VPN is up.

Also, the Airvpn client comes up and asks for the sudo password and I would like it to just connect without any input.
