Losing DNS

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Seems recently that I am getting this issue where 10.4.0.1 DNS server seems to stop resolving after being logged in for a bit.  I disconnect the Windows client, and it is fine with the public DNS.  Re-enable, and it seems to work for awhile, and then it fails again after a bit.  I did uninstall TAP driver and AirVPN client, and reinstalled it.  Seems more stable, but seems to be kind of problematic.  Maybe related to the Windows 10 upgrade?

For testing you could try adding the air dns server 10.4.0.1 manually as the default for windows. Even if only for a few hours if it maintains the dns for the duration it may help track down the issue.

However - When not connected to air the dns of course won't resolve.

Its also possible dhcp or some other oddity in windows is resetting the dns after X amount of time. From what I gather windows 10 isn't exactly bug free so who knows.

I have exactly the same - rolled back to 8.1 and everything works again - there is definately something not right with Airvpn and WIn 10
