Config Gen for pfsense vm

Recommended Posts

I read through the pfsense thread and I didn't see what I am looking for.  In the past when I used the Config Gen to generate keys for my linux system I used to get files that I recognized and that looked like those shown in the pfsense guide here.  Today I have been using the Config Gen selecting "advanced" and "sep cert's", etc..  but the generated zip has files that don't display in the format pfsense is looking for.  My linux host is already directly connected via Eddie.  The pfsense VM built easily and I setup an internal network pretty easily.  I can connect through a subsequent VM that passes through the pfsense machine but of course its still using vpn1's server at this point.  Suggestions for what I might be doing wrong with the config generator?  I don't see how to import the files from the zip (currently extracted on the VM accessing the pfsense configurator).  It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I select linux or router/other in the config gen, the resulting output is unlike what I used to see.

Got it.  I actually "ticked" to separate the files and it changed the format I was looking at.  Re-read the pfsense thread again and it jumped off the page at me.  Operator error only.  What's new.  LOL!
