Very basic help for a very basic new user!

Hi

 

I joined AirVpn today and have managed to get set-up on two iOS devices ( a feat for me in itself)

 

I have not used any shared networks on my mobile devices previously having read too many reports of their vulnerability.

 

Very basic question no. 1

 

i presume I activeate my VPN before joining any wifi networks in hotels, cafes, trains etc?

On initial set-up / configuration I chose a continent - can I change continents, select particularly countries if so how do I do it?

 

Before I embarrass myself further is there a very basic guide I can refer to ?

You connect to the VPN after you have established internet connection on whatever network connection you are using.

 

I'm going to assume you are still using an iOS device in regards to question 2:

In order to use different countries/continents, you need to generate the OpenVPN configs for the countries you desire and add them to the OpenVPN app on your iOS device. After you have done this, you are free to connect to whichever country you would like.
