CrankyCat 7 Posted ... I'm in the USA and have always let the client choose based on the non-US server with the fastest speed. This was always one of the Canadian servers such as Thabit or Grumium. In the last couple of weeks I've been getting slow to useless speeds to most sites I use; my favorite was mightyupload.com but the same goes for similiar sites I tried such as streamin.to or realvid.net. Mightyupload's speeds usually go from 0 (zero) to 40 KB/sec now and used to often be around 1024 or at least 300-400 in the evenings. As a test I connected to Sweden (Zaniah) and am currently getting > 200 KB/sec. I ran the Internet Health Test on Grumium and the results were up and down around with a low consistency often < 1 megabit. The Swedish server was flat at 2.18 Mbps. When I run without AirVPN it's a flat line measurement over 12 megabit with no dips in speed for different connections. Is anyone else having issues with speeds on the Canadian servers? Could my ISP be throttling VPN specific connections where I've had lots of activity even if they aren't supposed to? Edit: I'm using the current 2.9.2 and I also get better download speeds from servers in the Netherlands too. Quote Share this post Link to post
