Also, WhatsApp is not a real company, it's a (messaging) service with an Inc. skin. I'd even say it's still a start-up despite it being so long on the market, and start-ups are, as I see it, services who concentrate on a certain feature while not really paying attention to anything else. WhatsApp doesn't progress, but Facebook does. So if you are looking for any information disclosure rules, look up to its mother-in-law - Facebook.
