I am not using it just saw it listed on the config page. Wondered if people were using it and how they were using it.

Oh, well I'm not personally using it.

 

But, if I had to think up a scenario, then a headless server that you don't check up on much could have an alert setup where if it detects a disconnect/connection drop, it would send you a notification.
