Truecrypt audit phase 2 complete

They completed the phase II public audit and cryptanalysis of truecypt. No major red flags other than some minor bugs. It seems completely safe to use the older version 7.1a.

Well, that's good news. But what about VeraCrypt ? Can this also be considered as safe as TC ? I recently switched from TrueCrypt to VeraCrypt and this questions still remains unanswered to me...
