Need Help with pfSense and 2 servers

Recommended Posts

I followed the excellent guide posted by pfsense_fan and everything works as should.

assume i have 1 wan port and 2 lan ports. 1 lan port is setup for openvpn usa. the other is unused.

https://airvpn.org/topic/11245-how-to-set-up-pfsense-21-for-airvpn/?hl=pfsense

i wanted to be able to access 2 vpn servers, one in america and one in europe.

could someone tell me how to do it using 2 different methods?

method 1 is the single lan port where i would have to select the appropriate server through pfsense.

obviously only 1 server could be used at a time.

i don't know which steps to repeat and what setting in pfsense to change for the proper selection.

method 2 is the dual lan ports where i would i have america server using one lan port and europe server using the other.

2 servers could be used at the same time.

again i don't know which steps are to be repeated for the different servers.

maybe someone can shed some light on how to accomplish these two ways?

thanks

would that be more in line with method 1 or method 2?

if i follow the guide from pfsense_fan with multiple nics, it seems that one is routed through the vpn and the other isn't.

i wanted both routed through different vpns.

I may be wrong but, you could create a second airvpn interface second openvpn connection and a virtul network calling it vpnusa/vpneurope doing the same on your wireless and connecting to either or for which ever you want to use. If i am wrong please let me know

ssid home -> no vpn -> wan    192.168.10.0

ssid vpnusa -> usa vpn -> airvpn interface -> wan    192.168.20.0

ssid vpneurope -> europe vpn -> airvpn2 interface -> wan    192.168.30.0

thanks for the tip.

i've been in brasil for the past 2 weeks but will try as soon as i get back next week.

just a quick question . . . is the virtual network part you're talking about supposed to take the place of 2 separate wireless access points connected to the lan ports?
