Issue with Eddie 2.7

I've just updated from 1.9 to 2.7, running on XP. 1.9 worked fine.

 

I've turned off both the windows and Comodo firewall and disabled anti-virus but despite several re-installs i'm still getting a revolving error that the client cannot update systems and servers data.

 

I'm at a loss as to what's causing it? Any suggestions for next troubleshooting steps? Any help appreciated!
