randompersona 0 Posted ... Hello Community, recently I am noticing that Netflix noticed my location in germany. I already emtied all my browser cache and according to ipleak.net nothing is leaking. The problem occurs on Fedora 21 using Openvpn and chrome. Weirdly the hola unblocker is working fine, but I can not support software that is not respecting my privacy. If you need more info I will gladly provide it. cheers Quote Share this post Link to post
44blablabla 2 Posted ... I can't give you any concrete tips on how to circumvent it but I recently read somewhere (sry I don't have the source at hand right now) that netflix recently started to work on blocking users which use a vpn to circumvent the geolocation detection,I assume they're experimenting with advanced detection methods which are not ip based. For example they could use the "prefered languages" in the http header. Also, if javascript/flash is enabled, there's probably A LOT of other detection methods available. Javascript leaks a whole lot of stuff. Does netflix require javascript to be enabled? Probably yes but if not I'd try again with javascript disabled. Quote Share this post Link to post
