no Downloads when connected via the Client on Linux

Hello Community,

I am recently trying out Air, since I read that they have good Linux support.
I am running elementary OS (ubuntu) and when connected via the client I cannot download anything. Not through the browser or terminal. Browsing works just fine, with the exception of not beeing able to play Video from crunchyroll.com when connected to the VPN ( a shame since I use the VPN to go around region locks).

Since I am a beginner with Linux and VPNs I guess it is just a problem with my Setup.
