Airvpn with just Firefox

I'm sure there is a specific term for this and probably a good guide on how to do it but I'm hoping someone can help me out here. On Linux Debian, I'm wanting to set my Firefox browser (iceweasel) so that it will only connec to the internet if connected to Airvpn. Is there a way to acheive this? If so, can someone please provide a detailed walk through or just clear guidelines.
