I looked through the mission page and noticed that Tails doesn't seem to have been funded before (though Tor Project has).

 

I think this would be a good cause.

According to their website (https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/donate/index.en.html), Tails receives financial support from Tor Project.  And if I'm reading the income statements from the past two years (2013 and 2012) correctly, this support is actually substantial.  However, I second your proposal--Tails is a worthy project!
