virustotal refuses to scan client exe

I think that it is an error with your end. I successfully scanned the installer again as it had already been submitted.

It's NEVER useful to scan an installer because these services only scan the installer executable but not the files which are getting installed.

Which means if you include a virus into an InstallShield installer and upload the installer, it will get 0/100 on virustotal because the installer itself is clean.
