Speedproblems?

Hey guys,

 

I´m using a 100 Mbit connection from my home to the airvpn server, but i cant get over 10Mbit down  even if the 1Gbit Server has a load of 120Mbit there should be some space shouldnt it? Im wondering how the top useres can get about 80Mbit and im hanging around with about 4-10Mbit. Usually i get about 80-90 Mbit without the VPN. Before i was using a different VPN Service and I got around 60-70 Mbit.

 

My Configuration is a Linux Mint with openvpn and the other machine is a Windows 7 PC both are connected by ethernet. I tested multiple ports but couldn get the downspeed any higher. Upload reaches the 8Mbit maximum
